Los
Jubilados
¡Oyeme Cachita!

To
celebrate the new Century, Los Jubilados return with a second CD,
more powerful, more irreverent than the first. The repertoire is
well known although each track is stamped with the Jubilados flavour
which distinguishes it immediately from the rest: a flow of creative
solos on the trumpet, tres and percussions and vocals that come
straight from the soul.
In this CD, the place of the young trumpeter Hanibal Avila has
been taken by the veteran Santiago musician, Carlos Thomas Brown
who, like Compay Segundo, was a soloist with the Santiago Town
Band.
This CD is dedicated to Los Jubilados tres player, Rafael 'Tangañika'
Lafarguez who died a month after it was recorded.
