Dinastía
Hidalguense
- Sones Huastecos
Three
Young musicians, born into musical families in rural villages
of Hidalgo state, formed this trio in México City, where
they had each emigrated in search of work. In spite of very tough
competition, Dinastía Hidalguense managed to establish
themselves as one of the top son huasteco trios, their reputation
based on the virtuoso violin of Anatolio Martínez, the
falsetto voices of José Gayosso and Juan Salomé
and their charismatic stage presence.
Dinastía Hidalguense have played at festivals in London,
Toronto, Amsterdam and Seattle, although their public is still
very much the parties organized by Huastecan emigrant communciites
in the big city and the fiestas in rural villages which prefer
to contract this band as the favorites for accompanying the zapateado
footstamp-dancing.
