Eliades Ochoa y EL Cuarteto Patria - A Una Coqueta

This CD, produced in 1994 by Eduardo Llerenas, first brought the guitarist and singer Eliades Ochoa to international light, albeit to only a limited audience of music fanatics. Amongst them was the cartoonist from Village Voice, ("So good" he wrote as a p.s. to one of his sketches) and Nick Gold, co-producer of Buena Vista Social Club who invited Eliades to feature as one of the stars of his now-legendary recording.

This CD presents classic, unadulterated Eliades and, as such, is a musical gem. It includes the first recorded version of Chan Chan which, although compsoed by Compay Segundo, was first recorded by Eliades for this CD.
