Los Jubilados return to México to play the country's best concert halls

The prestigious UNAM concert hall, La Sala Nezahualcoyotl, opened its doors to the Cuban son veterans, Los Jubilados, to offer a banquet of son and boleros that come right from the port city where this music, and the musicians, were born.

Known colloquially as the Sala Neza, this concert hall usually presents symphonic orchestras and top international choirs although it has gained a reputation for programming excellent jazz and world music bands. It is the first time that a band from Santiago de Cuba is invited to play at the Sala Neza.
