At
that moment, Nick Gold, owner of World Circuit in London, spoke
to the two founders of Corason about his plans to make a recoding
in La Havana with the old son musicians and he asked about the
possibilitiues of featuring Corason artist Eliades Ochoa in the
line-up that also included Compay Segundo, Ibrahim Ferrer and
the Californian guitarrist and producer, Ry Cooder.
The
result of this historic recording,
'Buena Vista Social Club',
was licensed by Corason for Mexico, the only country in the Americas
where the title is not handled by the transnational, Warner Music.
